Argentine artist Cesar Vazquez is inspired by natural raw materials, such as wood, stone, seeds and bamboo, which he collects and transforms into aesthetic objects. A major part of his work focuses on construction, where he combines the art of sculpting, woodworking and painting.
Nature and civilisation, inertia and change, are the central elements of his artistic research. Materials, which others might ignore, here they tell their own stories either as autonomous sculptures, or incorporated into paintings as protagonists.
The paintings are mostly anthropocentric and are influenced by literature, the unconscious mind, everyday life and movements such as Arte Povera and Surrealism. The artist allows the viewer to roam freely inside the narrative, urging him to redefine his relationship with nature.

El artista plástico argentino Cesar Vazquez se inspira en materiales primarios que encuentra en la naturaleza, como madera, piedras, semillas, cañas de bambú, los cuales recolecta y transforma en objetos estéticos. Parte importante de su trabajo se conecta con técnicas construccionales, combinando la escultura, la carpintería y la pintura.
Naturaleza y civilización, estatismo y transformación, constituyen los ejes principales de su investigación artística. Materiales que otros ignorarían, narran sus historias ya sea como esculturas autónomas o incorporadas en pinturas, como protagonistas.
Sus pinturas, en su mayoría, tienen un carácter antropocéntrico, con influencias de la literatura, el mundo del inconsciente, la vida cotidiana y movimientos como el Arte Povera y el Surrealismo. Permite al espectador navegar libremente por la narración, incentivándole a determinar nuevamente su relación con la naturaleza.
